How does the marketing definition of a product differ from the engineering definition?

engineering are responsible for shaping the product like for example cars
new designs appears every year who made it ( designers) which are engineerings

after the protuct finished then its the responsibility of the marketing managers who make advertising , promot there new product and try to increase the sales volume in the market
